Laser Vision Correction

Your Lifestyle

Before having LASER VISION CORRECTION most of our patients never dreamed they would be able to drive a car, watch a movie, or enjoy sports such as swimming and skiing without glasses or contacts. These same patients are pursuing life with new confidence and enthusiasm thanks to Laser Vision Correction. You have the potential to see better than glasses & contacts especially at night.  Most of our patients are seeing better than 20/20 the morning after their procedure and many patients are reporting better night vision than with their glasses.

Are you a Candidate?

In most cases, LASER VISION CORRECTION can treat the most severe degrees of nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism.  Only an in-depth examination of your eyes can determine if you’re a candidate.

Consultation:

Your examination will include a complete evaluation of the internal and external health of your eyes.  We will do a tear film analysis, measure corneal thickness, pupil size, corneal topography and produce a Wavefront map of the surface of your eyes all in the comfortable, relaxed atmosphere in our state-of-the-art facility at OC Surgical. During the course of the exam you’ll meet and visit with our Medical & Surgical Director Dr. Michael Sheety. Upon completion of your exam, Dr. Sheety will tell you if you’re a good candidate for Laser Vision Correction, remember that even if you couldn’t previously qualify for Lasik you may now be a good candidate using newer advanced technology.

We’ll spend as much time as needed to answer your questions and provide the information you need to make an informed decision. At OC Surgical we know that the surgeon and staff are key to a successful outcome.  Have confidence in our latest generation technology and experienced surgeon, Michael Sheety, M.D.

Your Procedure Day

It’s natural to feel a mixture of eager anticipation and nervousness before your procedure.  On your procedure day, wear comfortable clothing, but do not use creams, lotions, eye make-up, perfume, hair-spray, or wear earrings.  Soft contact lenses should ideally be removed 3 days prior to an evaluation or your procedure. Drops are use to numb the eye.  There is no pain during the procedure however, some patients report feeling mild pressure. Be sure to bring someone to drive you home or make arrangements for transportation.  You should allow approximately 1 hours for the entire process.

After Your Procedure

Patients are quite comfortable after taking a short nap while wearing protective eye shields.  Most patients notice dramatic visual results within a few days following their procedure.  Many patients return to work within a day or two of the procedure. Imagine the possibility of seeing better than 20/20 with improved night vision. OC Surgical is proud to be among a select group in the nation offering the safest, most precise Laser Vision Correction ever.
