Dr. Michael Sheety is the Medical Director of the OC Surgical Eye Institute, a premiere eye center with the newest proven technology for detailed ocular evaluations and effective treatment. Complete comprehensive testing is performed using advanced capabilities such as specular microscopy, corneal topography, ocular ultrasound and optical coherence tomography (OCT).

Board Certified & Fellowship trained in all aspects of laser refractive eye care including suture-less Premium cataract surgery and corneal transplantation, Dr. Sheety has performed thousands of vision correction procedures. Dr. Sheety has made presentations all over the United States on subjects ranging from laser vision correction to ocular surface reconstruction. Additionally, he trains other surgeons in vision correction techniques and is consulted by other eye surgeons on complicated cases such as decreased vision, non-healing ulcers, severe scarring, and sutureless corneal transplantation.

In addition to laser vision correction, Dr. Sheety performs reconstructive and cosmetic eyelid surgery. Dr. Sheety has extensive experience in facial cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in treating conditions ranging from droopy eyelids to traumatic ocular injuries. He is on staff at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and St. Joseph Medical Center in Orange and has worked extensively with the Grossman Burn Center.

The OC Surgical Eye Institute continues to conduct clinical FDA trials for dry eye. This made OC Surgical a lead dry eye center which prompted one of the most successful treatment programs for patients with dysfunctional tears called Good-Bye Dry Eye™. Through innovative therapy customized for each patient thousands of people are no longer suffering from dry eyes anymore. Treatments include stem cell therapy, laser, meibomian gland expression and tear duct analysis.

I had an ongoing issue that I couldn't figure out, I was in and out of hospitals trying to find out why I was feeling nausea while doing activities that required fast motion. Dr. sheety saw how stressed out I was and he was determined to help me, he said "I will do every single test there is until we figure out what's going on and we will fix you" he stuck to his word and fixed my eyes.
