Brow Lift
Raising the eyebrows to a more natural appearing position can refresh the face and greatly enhance the appearance of the eyes.
ThermaCool Skin Lift procedure is a non-surgical approach to raising the eyebrows. There is no downtime and results begin to show in days to weeks and complete results are usually visible in several months
The Endoscopic Brow-lift is a popular and effective approach for elevating low and heavy eyebrows. A sagging eyebrow creates a tired and unhappy look. In women, low eyebrows can give a masculine look.
This procedure is done through several small incisions in the hair-bearing scalp. The forehead tissue in loosened and elevated to result in the eyebrows being re-positioned to a more pleasing, higher place. We commonly associate a higher eyebrow position with youth. The “down-time” is one week. The post operative pain and discomfort is minimal.
Eyelid Lift
When you look in the mirror and see tired and droopy looking eyes, it’s often due to loose eyelid tissues. You can achieve a more rested, awake and more youthful appearance while still keeping your own unique identity. Eyelid rejuvenation requires multiple simultaneous treatments to achieve the best results. The single best approach is by combining minimally invasive surgery, superficial laser, and injectables to achieve amazing results. Of course each treatment is designed for the individual and is all inclusive. We take pride in knowing our outcomes are among the very best.
The best way to know what is right for you is to have an evaluation and understand what can be done to achieve your goals. A natural outcome that looks like “you” is our priority. This is a distinction of where science of cosmetic surgery meets art. It is this concept that is crucial to successful outcomes. The down-time is usually 7 days after eyelid surgery. However, most people are driving in a few days and do light errands. There is minimal discomfort and swelling with this procedure.
Neck Lift
New technology, in combination with skin tightening procedures can be done for a lower neck “pooch” that people commonly complain about. The Non-Invasive Neck Lift is comprised of lipo-sculpture initially and then skin treatment with radio-wave technology. It is possible to perform the neck-lift procedure in 30 minutes with little discomfort.
The first part of the Neck Lift is done by using a local anesthetic. Fluid is introduced called tumescent solution then a syringe is used to remove any fatty tissue under the neck. This is called “lipo-sculpture.” There is generally little or no discomfort due to the numbing medicine used to prepare the area. Immediately after lipo-sculpture, radio-waves are delivered to tighten the skin using the Polaris.
Frequently combined with other procedures a NECK LIFT is a surgical procedure designed to reduce sagging skin in the neck and under the jaw line. Performed with minimal incisions well hidden behind the ear, a neck lift is actually a set of procedures used to enhance the appearance of your neck referred to as Cervicoplasty or Platysmaplasty.
For many individuals, the neck is often one of the first areas of the face to show the signs of age. Over time as the skin loses it’s elasticity, wrinkles and folds may develop in the neck while the chin and jaw line may become slack and lose definition. The neck lift is an ideal procedure for individuals whose aging concerns are limited to the neck. If aging conditions are present in the face as well, a full face and neck lift may be more appropriate.
Currently, there are non-invasive options to achieve a neck lift. OC Surgical & Laser also utilizes non-surgical neck lift treatments with laser. Please contact us if your are interested in participating in a clinical FDA aesthetics study.
Eyelid Lift vs Brow Lift
Eyelid Surgery or Blepharoplasty is the removal of excessive, sagging or wrinkled skin, as well as fat and sometimes muscle from the upper and/or lower eyelids. This treats eyelid “hooding” and under-eye “bags” which can cause a tired or aged appearance. Reconstructive eyelid surgery is also performed when excess eyelid skin interferes with vision. The result is a more youthful, rested appearance of the eyes, softening of wrinkle lines, and widening of visual fields for partially blocked vision.
Excess eyelid skin may be a sign of drooping eyebrows, in which case a Brow Lift is the preferred treatment. In addition, many patients with concerns of lower eyelid bags actually have a sunken appearance and would benefit from fat transfer to fill in the lower eyelid area, rather than fat removal.
Blepharoplasty removes upper eyelid skin and fat through an incision hidden within the crease of the eyelid. The lower eyelid fat is removed through an incision inside the eyelid (trans-conjunctival) so that there are no visible scars. If there is a minimal to moderate amount of excess lower lid skin, the wrinkled skin can usually be treated with a chemical peel or laser skin resurfacing. Large amounts of extra lower eyelid skin may require an incision just below the eyelashes to remove the skin for effective treatment.
The Brow Lift or Forehead Lift repositions the eyebrows and smoothes the forehead to address one of the very first signs of aging, lengthening of the forehead and drooping of the eyebrows. The result is a more youthful and rested appearance to the forehead and upper eyelids and a softening of lines in the forehead and between the eyes.
The Brow Lift can be approached through several different incisions depending on the individual’s anatomy, hairline, and preferences. By far the most common approach is the Endoscopic Surgery using a tiny camera through very small incisions in the scalp. Other possible incisions are just above the eyebrows, within a horizontal forehead crease, or along the hairline. The coronal brow lift incision from ear to ear is considered outdated and rarely the preferred method anymore due to hair loss, sensory loss, and greater recovery time.
